BlackBerry’s Global Technology Services team is at the centre of our organization!  Providing business and software development tools, applications and services to the entire company including our automotive, and cyber security spaces. As a member of our Software Tools Engineering team, you will be a trusted and skilled specialist designing, testing, deploying, and supporting Atlassian applications for a variety of BlackBerry stakeholders.

If you have a strong background in support and administration of the Atlassian suite of tools such as Jira and Confluence, this is the position for you!  As a member of our team, you will directly affect process implementation, integrate Atlassian products with other internal applications, and drive efficiencies for our organization.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, manage and support Atlassian suite of services for all of BlackBerry

• Provide end user support and expertise to help maximize tool adoption and use

• Evaluate and manage the usage of Atlassian add-ons to meet team and business needs
• Work with development and design teams to identify procedural efficiencies, such as Jira Workflows, custom fields, and reporting
• Design, test, and deploy integration's between Atlassian products and other internal tools
• Build Knowledge tools, develop training for internal users and/or team members and keep up to date on the latest functionality
• Research and implement new approaches on Jira and Confluence usage
• Prompt issue resolution with JIRA Projects and Confluence in coordination with other admins, partner teams and Atlassian premier support
• Work closely with Cyber Security to ensure security practices and policies are followed

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience and BS/BA
• Minimum 4 years’ experience administrating Atlassian products on-prem and on-cloud (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
• Strong knowledge and familiarity with JQL
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of both Scrum and Kanban methodologies
• Experience extending Atlassian products via code development is preferable
• Experience directly integrating Atlassian products with other systems is preferable
• Knowledge of scripting is a plus

• Working knowledge of Linux/Windows based servers
• Exposure to Chef automation
• Experience in migrating from on-prem private server instance to cloud SaaS an asset
• API integration to other systems
