The Finance Team manages the performance and risk profile of Bell, ensuring the needs of customers, investors and employees are balanced with long-term business success. We work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute plans that help the company achieve its strategic objectives and ensure financial sustainability.  
 

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role within the Finance team and will report directly to the Director, Finance. The successful candidate for this position will support the leadership team (including finance, marketing and sales) in their information production and analysis needs. The successful candidate for this position will have direct supervision over two subordinates.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the accounting team in the month-end closure process
  • Coordinate the production of monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Contribute to the production of annual reports to the CRTC and other regulatory bodies
  • Create and maintain forecasting models for annual budgeting and monthly financial forecasts
  • Collaborate with our business partners to identify the organization’s key performance indicators and develop reports or dashboards accordingly
  • Support the company’s important decisions by building various cost-benefit analyses (business cases)
  • Participate in various special projects and ad hoc analyses
  • In addition, support the financial information needs of our business partners for other Bell Canada subsidiaries

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial or Computational Mathematics, Business Intelligence, Business Analysis or any other discipline relevant to the job
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position (financial analysis, dashboards, process analysis, etc.)
  • Experience in financial modeling and report creation
  • Strong knowledge of advanced Excel functions
  • Good knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Bilingual (French/English, spoken and written)
  • Hold a CPA designation (or in the process of obtaining it), an asset
  • Knowledge of SQL Server and Power BI tools, an asset
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications sector, an asset

  • Ability to analyze, simplify, synthesize and communicate complex concepts, in French and English, orally and in writing
  • High level of autonomy in developing work plans to achieve specific objectives within prescribed deadlines
