General Accountability

 

Plans and conducts feasibility studies, develops systems business requirement definitions, develops systems designs, directs system build and implementation, and develops methods and procedures for systems of major complexity. The position formulates logical statements of administrative, scientific and/or technical problems and devises solutions.

Key Job Functions

 

  • Develop and implement new computer systems and enhances old systems by assessing business problems and requirements, and lead the process in providing and implementing computer systems solutions
  • Lead the technical analysis, provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for business engagement through entire project development lifecycle
  • Plan, supervise and direct work to ensure the technical team acquires sustainable knowledge, skills and technical competencies and that the goals and objectives of the section are achieved
  • Promotes a respectful work and service environment that supports diversity, inclusion, and is free from harassment and discrimination. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of inclusive and accessible policies, programs and/or services for employees and customers in accordance with TTC’s commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC’s policies
  • Candidate will be required to participate in the TTC's Customer Service Ambassador Program

Education and Experience

 

Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a relevant discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.

Additional Requirements

 

  • Extensive hands-on experience and expert knowledge of Payroll and Benefit business processes
  • Experience configuring SAP Payroll and integrating business processes with 3rd party Time &  Attendance and Scheduling Systems
  • Participation in multiple full life cycle large scale SAP project implementation in the HR Payroll domain
  • Deep understanding of SAP Canadian Payroll (PY-CA) and Benefits (PA-BN)
  • Experience in year-end payroll activities and Canadian year-end reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting enterprises with multiple unions/bargaining units and complex payroll rules
  • Expert knowledge (business process and configuration) of SAP HR/Payroll including payroll experience designing and configuring SAP Payroll wage types, features, schemas and rules, 3rd party payments, tax reporting, etc.
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of SAP Success Factors and integration with SAP ECC an asset
  • Knowledge of Workforce Time & Attendance and Scheduling system configuration, setup and business rules
  • Strong knowledge integrating Workforce System with SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Payroll and with non-SAP systems (i.e. Maximo)
  • Combination of strong technical and business skills is required
  • SAP/Workforce Certification appropriate to the area of expertise an asset
