Job Summary

Providing expert advice, identify functional/non functional requirements and interface with vendors and the enterprise architecture community to support the design of compliant solutions which meet business needs.

Job Qualifications

Required:
• Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the IT Architecture area

OR
• Zurich Cybersecurity Technician Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the IT Architecture area

OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the IT Architecture area


Preferred:

•    Develops solutions consistent with the target architecture and standards, that are of high quality, cost effective and that produce the desired results.
•    As an architecture owner, advises program/project managers and implementation teams on best practices and guidelines related to program implementation. 
•    At least 5 years of experience at least one large Business Integration effort and project team through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing,
•    Strong Object Oriented Analysis and Programming experience
•    Working experience in Agile and DevOps tools: JIRA, Git, Bamboo (SVN and Jenkins are assets)
•    Must have 5-8 years of applied java development experience
•    Must have Web service experience / SOA
•    Strong integration development experience
•    Must have a Strong JMS/Queue development experience
•    Experience with analysis and resolution of Guidewire or other application performance issues
•    Must have a strong experience with XML and JSON
•    Estimates rough order magnitude of the development effort for proposed solutions and for change requests accepted during projects.
•    Identifies opportunities for Application Services to ensure high quality in all deliverables and continuous improvement in application development.
•    Experience working in fast-paced environments, often part of multiple initiatives and is familiar with Agile development framework.
•    Developing solution architecture with Guidewire and applications which integrate with core systems.
•    Translating requirements from functional analysis into the data architecture for that solution and describing it through design artifacts
•    You will be leading and producing architecture artifacts to document the technology solution
•    Utilize transition plans/roadmaps to migrate/evolve enterprise technology and data processing capabilities from current state to future state
•    Responsible for translating business and functional requirements definition for Policy Administration as well as downstream systems and reporting into technical & non-functional specs.
•    Lead specific design work, troubleshooting, and optimization including the integration side.
•    Provide the necessary software leadership to the development team and help ensure that the architectural vision is correctly realized during the development and support the team through the release of code to production
