What Will You Work On?

Reporting to Associate Director, User Experience Design, you’ll work with internal stakeholders, product owners, UX designers, researchers, and developers to optimize digital experiences across a portfolio of project priorities with three key goals in mind: maximize user/customer satisfaction, achieve business objectives & ensure best practices and guidelines are being followed.

How Will You Create Impact?

  • Design System
    • Contribute to, maintain and enhance the current pattern library into a design system to be used across AIR MILES digital properties that meet design best practices and accessibility standards
    • Draft comprehensive design system documentation to help drive understanding across teams.
       
  • End-to-end UX & visual design
    • Take a mobile-first approach to designing responsive, elegant and engaging user interfaces/layouts/components that work across mobile, tablet and desktop devices
    • Be comfortable creating end-to-end designs from low-fidelity sketching/wire framing through to high-fidelity pixel perfect visual design
    • Provide creative assets as needed including design comps, image assets and source stock photography when required
    • Effectively communicate and demonstrate design concepts, based on qualitative or quantitative data, to internal stakeholders using interactive prototypes
    • Work closely with across cross-functional teams to implement and designs, with the goal of increasing collaboration and reducing documentation
       
  • UX Discovery Facilitation & Ideation
    • Facilitate or participate in ideation and other co-design sessions, motivating all team members to take part in not only creating design solutions, but understanding requirements and  supporting delivery.

Let’s Talk About You:

  • 1-3 years’ experience working in a digital design-related role such as User Experience and/or Graphic/Visual Design.
  • Strong understanding of design best practices including design systems, user-centered design principles, processes, accessibility and WCAG guidelines
  • Visual/graphic design background or experience with an appreciation for clean, simple design
  • Ability to pay attention to details while still being able to see the big picture
  • Proficiency with current creative and collaborative tools such as Figma, Sketch, Miro/Mural, Lucidchart, Zeplin, etc.
  • Understanding of Agile Methodologies

Our COVID-19 Response
