Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Compensation Solutions team by supporting the development, delivery and execution of compensation programs while ensuring compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 


Accountabilities 

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Supports the delivery of compensation planning tools (e.g., Global Compensation Planner, International Compensation Planner) globally by:  
  • Understanding and documenting business requirements and working with key stakeholders to ensure they are reflected in systems and tools.  Key stakeholders include Total Rewards, Employee Experience Technology, external consultants and vendors;
  • Partnering with the same on development, tool updates, testing and implementation; 
  • Monitoring progress and addresses issues during the compensation planning cycle.
  • Supports the execution of the end-to-end delivery of all compensation planning activities:
  • Works in partnership with Total Rewards on the development of planning calendars and key dates;
  • Develop various communication and training materials related to tools, systems and process ensuring alignment with Total Rewards messaging; 
  • Manage various administration elements of the cycle including, but not limited to, table updates, override process, exception process and reporting
  • Supports the Compensation Advisory team, on an ad hoc basis, by providing analytic support on program and/or policy reviews.  May also provide project support as needed.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Undergraduate University degree with 2 to 3 years’ experience in compensation, finance or other highly analytical position.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access skills.
  • Effective communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task, plan, organize and prioritize work
