We’re currently looking for a self-starter to join our dynamic marine group.  In this role, you will act as the go to person to help support the effective and smooth operation of our global Marine team.

You will use your expertise to:
•    Process a high volume of digital invoices ensuring accuracy for entity submissions, compliance and approvals as well as resolving payment issues across multiple vendor points
•    Maintain our Aquarius invoice management database, including daily exchange rate updates
•    Gather information required to assist in the creation of new vendor setups globally
•    Act as a positive liaison between our back office, accounts payable team and vendors/suppliers to investigate payment irregularities to promptly settle invoices
•    Prepare monthly accruals, financial reports and support the creation of business presentations within PowerPoint
•    Coordinate the training program for the Marine Transportation Management System as well as use your continuous improvement mindset to support the improve of training modules and delivery
•    Attend daily department meetings and support marine events

Must-haves (minimum requirements):
•    One year of experience managing administrative or financial tasks including invoices, quotes, and budgets
•    A post-secondary education
•    Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
•    Exceptional time management, problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
•    Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
•    Alignment with our values: safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, and act with integrity
Preference for:
•    Bilingual (English, Spanish, Mandarin and/or French) – please submit your resume in English
•    Experience in handling social media accounts
•    International compliance experience including SoX
•    Proficiency with Adobe
Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:
•    You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

•    This is a temporary role for 9 months
•    Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
•    We require qualified and safety-focused employees for business-critical roles that maintain our commitment to operational excellence and reliable operations. We are using technology to conduct virtual interviews to adhere to physical distancing recommendations and we are well set up for remote onboarding and orientation
