The team responsible for screening and regulatory disclosures is currently looking for an advisor who will actively work to enhance the world of screening and regulatory reporting at National Bank.

The advisor role requires end-to-end knowledge of the technological functions related to screening and regulatory reporting processes. Working with the Agile method, the advisor will need to actively work with various stakeholders, such as operational sectors, IT and Internal Audit. The mandate requires inquisitiveness and creativity to apply innovative solutions for risk management.

Your role:

  • Be a key player in developing and maintaining various components of the screening and regulatory reporting to FINTRAC models.
  • Oversee the efficiency of models by tracking performance measurements.
  • Carry out periodic testing and collaborate on QA activities to prove that the models meet expectations.
  • Take over efforts to optimize screening models by performing calibrations and managing relevant business rules.
  • Keep documentation up to date to satisfy regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to organizational initiatives that require the team’s implication.
  • Reply to requests in validating models and for internal and external audits.

Competencies required:

  • A university certificate and 7 years of experience, or bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or a master’s degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in the area of compliance or risk management.
  • Experience in the area of sanctions/PEP screening will be considered a major asset.
  • Knowledge of screening tools, specially from Fircosoft.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and foreign sanctions programs.
  • Knowledge of screening model requirements, especially E-23 and NY DFS Part 504.
  • Developed analytical mindset.
  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French)
