IT Delivery, Wealth Management and Brokerage Operations in Montreal is currently seeking a BI Analyst Developer. Our sector’s mission consists of delivering projects and supporting the various business lines in their operations and development.

Your role: 

  • Develop and integrate data transformation interfaces to data warehouses
  • Work with developers from other specialties and with designers and architects to make sure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements as well as capacity and performance goals
  • Follow security and monitoring best practices and other programming practices to ensure that components are free of vulnerabilities and maintainable over time
  • Perform unit tests to ensure top quality deliverables
  • Participate in the transition of application or technical architecture components with testers
  • Fix any defects and performance issues discovered during testing
  • Document components to facilitate maintenance
  • Work together with external resources (Thailand and Saguenay)
  • Help resolve incidents, system failures and irregularities (support offered by the team on rotation)
  • Be involved in implementing new data platforms (Kafka, Snowflake, Denodo)

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience OR other degree and several years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in development with DataStage (solid experience with another ETL tool may be considered)
  • Experience with SQL and shell scripts
  • Proven experience with Oracle and Linux
  • Experience with data visualization/reporting tools: SAP BO, Power BI, MS SSRS and MS SSAS, a definite asset
  • Knowledge of one or more of these technologies, an asset: Kafka, Snowflake, Denodo
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum), an asset
  • Knowledge of the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • Experience and/or interest in the brokerage industry, an asset
  • Open to learning and being challenged
  • Desire to work in an environment where autonomy and creativity are encouraged
  • Ability to take a leadership role and ensure that the objectives of various squads are met through teamwork
  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French), an asset
