Job Description:

As a Bilingual Client Services Representative in the Technical Analyst Team, you will gain experience working on a diverse set of tasks that will enhance your knowledge of our GRS systems and products and give you the opportunity to strengthen your technical understanding and collaboration skills.  You will interact with plan sponsors, advisors, Client Teams, pension auditors and our partners from Business Development. 

If you have a career path towards Client Relationship or simply want to expand your knowledge of our industry this role will provide you with some new skills and knowledge that will support that goal.

Responsible for handling regulatory tasks related to pension and other Group Retirement Services (GRS) products. Providing plan sponsors report to support pension audit and AIR filing.  Monitoring pension contribution activities and reporting to the Provincial regulators.  Supporting annual Age 71 and 85 activities:

  • Assess and handle inquires and legislative questions related to AIR, audits and contribution monitoring

  • Partner with CRE’s and auditors to provide reports needed to fulfill plan sponsors audit requirements

  • Manage cases within our set service standards and ensure that legislative requirements are completed on time

  • Work with GRS Best Practices to ensure AIR workbooks and processes are up to date

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external contacts, including CRE’s, plan sponsors, consultants and auditors.

  • Support projects, as required and collaborate with GRS Central MA team to create efficiencies

  • Participate actively in all aspects of the Brighter Way Management system including huddles, GEMBA, Continuous Improvement and problem solving meetings.

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English and French

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Building relationships and working alongside other team members and internal/external business partners

  • You have excellent PC skills and know your way around Excel

  • Solid ability to organize and prioritize activities to ensure key objectives and deadlines are met

What you bring with you:

  • Knowledge of the GRS processes, systems, Ultera and Outlook

  • Knowledge of pension legislation

  • Experience in a multitasking environment

  • Bilingualism (French and English)

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
