The Office of Advancement raises funds to support uOttawa’s strategic priorities. We work with alumni, individual donors, corporations and foundations to build relationships that lead to philanthropic engagement, finding ways to help our donors direct their gifts to impact projects that inspire them. Our Development Team is a group of talented high performers who have built a solid reputation for delivering results and building long-term relationships
Position purpose:
The Development Officer manages the development, implementation and evaluation of fundraising plans with the primary purpose of maximizing revenue generation from individuals and organizations at the leadership and entry-level major gift stage in the donor life cycle ($1,000 to $25,000 – including planned giving).
Actively manages a portfolio of existing and prospective donors and provides fundraising support for a dedicated university hub that serves multiple faculties/services. As required, manages special appeals, communications or alumni relations activities in support of targeted fundraising projects. Shares philanthropic opportunities and develops joint strategies with colleagues and service units to optimize revenue opportunities.
