Job Description:

The incumbent will be the lead technical resource to advise, lead, develop, and implement a data integration strategy along with a proposed logical and physical architectures in consideration of ingestion processes into possible data hubs and integration between multiple data sources using AC’s available integration tools.

The incumbent will be accountable for understanding business architecture and supporting processes and determine the best approach to address integration needs.

The incumbent will be accountable for developing and maintaining Integrations Governance, Strategy and best practices for the organization, as well as ensuring all college integrations specialists are aware of guiding principles.

The incumbent will collaborate with all integrations specialist to support and guide on roadmap creations. The Integration Specialist will be a key resource for high-level enterprise plans, and initiate and participate in projects to evaluate technologies and recommend methods for implementing these plans.

This position will focus on the College’s enterprise systems, which includes but not limited to Student Information Systems, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft. In addition, this position will oversee the Integration strategy and an integrated Automated Programming Interfaces (API) framework employed through all compatible systems.

The incumbent will be the lead resource for working with other teams to identify means to automate and replace current integrations and functionality when applicable in addition to planning for future integrations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) year diploma/degree in Computer Science/Systems/Engineering/Information Systems or Business Administration with a Computer Major

  • Microsoft Certified Professional and/or equivalent (depending on the college selected platforms) API

  • Swagger API Platform an asset.

  •  8+ years experience of data integration and/or application integration experience including framework and methodology development

  • 8+ years of experience in the methodology, design and modeling of databases and multi-dimensional data models

  • Excellent understanding of integration platforms (i.e.: Microsoft Azure, Informatica Cloud, Harmony environments)

  • Proven experience using an iPaaS, such as Informatica’s Intelligence Cloud Services (IICS) platform, Harmony, and/or Azure API Management solutions

  • Must have in-depth understanding of integration patterns

  • Must have experience with real-time integration; experience with integration of COTS, SaaS, PaaS solutions via API or Web-Services

  • Must understand best practices and design trade-offs, with the ability to communicate design choices

  • Must have experience in managing and introducing a wide range of enterprise applications and technologies

  • Must have experience in analyzing partner business requirements

  • Must have experience in proposing data and/or application integration solutions meeting partner and IT stakeholders’ requirements

  • Experience in producing strategic roadmaps an asset

  • Participation in knowledge sharing and mentorship

  • Must have proven success with Integration strategy and best practices

  • Must have knowledge of internet and cloud architecture paradigms
