Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking a full time Intermediate Piping Designer for our Edmonton office. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and skilled problem solver with a commitment to thrive in a proactive organization where client service and individual excellence are paramount. This is a dynamic work environment where you will be able to challenge your abilities and CAD skills.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Support various size projects from conceptual thru detailed engineering, related to process piping in refineries, stations, terminals, tank farms.
• Build 3D piping models using AutoPlant and/or CADWorx
• Prepare isometric and orthographic drawings from a 3D model.
• Assist in P&ID development, including drafting, correlating documents etc.
• Check quality and accuracy of your own work.
• Assist in site visits when required.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Minimum 5 years of experience preferably working on refinery projects.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD software.
• Excellent knowledge of CADWorx and/or AutoPlant 3D software.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a self-starter and motivated.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Should be willing to receive directions and have a willingness to learn.

Education and Experience

Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology
