We are looking for an Engineering Manager for OneDrive Mobile Engineering and Platform team.  

OneDrive is a rapidly-growing service at the center of Microsoft's cloud, reaching almost every part of the company. Hundreds of millions of people depend on OneDrive to store their most important files for work, home, and school. We are a diverse team of developers, creatives, data scientists and program managers delivering a full spectrum of software and services from incubation and envisioning right through to software development, customer delivery and service operations.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven and collaborative engineering manager to build and lead mobile platform team for OneDrive. As an engineering manager of the team you will be expected to partner closely with your counterparts in research, product management and design to understand business opportunities and build shared experiences delivering impact for our business and users within OneDrive apps and in wider Microsoft mobile apps ecosystem. In addition to building reusable components for our mobile teams, you will also have the opportunity to evangelize our mobile technology stack to other partners within MSFT.  

As the manager of this team you will also lead and will be accountable for improving all aspects of the OneDrive mobile code bases and stacks. From modernizing code, to deprecating components, to improving release processes and reducing build times. The role is very diverse and not only rewarding by delighting our external customers, but also the mobile engineers within the organization.  

You will leverage your leadership to support your team in design, implementation and release of the new experiences you create. As an engineering manager you will be expected to create a healthy and empowered team by modeling, caring and coaching. You will be expected to invest deeply in the career growth and development of engineers on your team. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS  

•   
• 6-8+ years of experience shipping production services or client software at large scale.
• A good grasp on API design, algorithms, and data structures.  
• A BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.  
• Business impact generation mindset.  
• Experience working with mobile-development specific technologies.  
• Experience hiring and leading diverse teams.  
• Demonstrated commitment to the success of others; as a leader in the team you will be expected to mentor and manage junior developers.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Experience integrating with cloud services.
