Senior Software Developer (In-Vehicle Platform)

The BlackBerry IVY Engineering team is an inclusive organization and rapidly growing our development team building an edge-first secure and intelligent in-vehicle data platform. Our IVY platform provides automakers with cloud-controlled access to vehicle data to produce insights through ML and share insights consistently with a global digital ecosystem of developers to deliver practical value on vehicle data at scale.

JOIN US for this outstanding opportunity to develop features for the initial release and future evolution of these runtime and SDKs, including embedded software running on an auto grade OS such as QNX and Linux.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Actively participate in all aspects of the development process
• Design, implement, test & profile Ivy product features
• Develop unit tests to validate the features
• Participate in architecture discussion with a core group of SMEs and provide direction to the team
• Analyze defects to identify issues in the software and work with team members to resolve them

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 7 years’ min meaningful and proven experience with BA/BS
• Expert in C++ programming, ideally using modern C++ features and practices
• Expert in Object Oriented Designs and Design Patterns
• Experience in embedded SW development
• Experience in Python programming
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline, GitLab preferable
• Strong verbal/ written communication & interpersonal skills with a curious demeanor
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related program

ABOVE & BEYOND

• Experience with QNX OS; developing SDKs
• Experience with auto grade HW such as NXP IMX8 or Qualcomm 8155
• Exposure to Machine Learning techniques and/or data analytics engines
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies such as AWS, REST and React.js
